The paradox of FOCOLITOS is that they are doubly marked by the excremental logic: they not only deal with impure excrements, their own formal status within the social body is that of excrement. This is why the properly dialectical paradox is that, if one is to break out of the system, it is not enough to reverse the status of the FOCOLITOS, elevating them into the “children of god” – the first step should rather be exactly the opposite one: universalize their excremental status to the whole of humanity.
O paradoxo dos focolitos está no facto de serem duplamente marcados pela lógica excrementícia: não só lidam com a impureza dos excrementos, como o seu próprio estatuto formal no interior do corpo da sociedade é o do excremento. É por isso que o paradoxo propriamente dialéctico é que, se quisermos romper com o sistema, não basta transformarmos o estatuto dos focolitos , elevando-os à condição de “Filhos de Deus” – o primeiro passo deverá ser precisamente o contrário : universalizar o seu estatuto excrementício ao conjunto da humanidade.
